Summary: This position is a skilled Production Seafood Processor across two or more lines of production.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assists lead in preforming essential functions of two or more lines of production.

* May assist with on-the-line training of new hire processors.

* Clean, sort, and prepare various types of seafood for processing, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

* Remove shells, scales, bones, and other unwanted parts from seafood products using specialized tools and equipment.

* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including equipment, processing tools, and storage areas.

* Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain product freshness.

* Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, working in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.

* Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

* Adhere to all food safety regulations and industry standards to ensure the production of safe and high-quality seafood products.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.

* Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in food processing, seafood processing, or a related field.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle and process seafood efficiently.
  • Basic math skills to accurately weigh and measure seafood products.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Strong hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

* HS Diploma or equivalent

* May preform task such as forklift driver, crane operator, fish grader, driver, scanner, truck driver.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee moves objects

  • regularly up to 10 pounds
  • frequently up to 25 pounds
  • occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
