In this role, you will be in charge of ensuring that warehousing operations are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a key position in the Motion NEMA Motors Division team. You will be responsible for leading by example, following all established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record and dispatch goods in the warehouse to ensure seamless receipt and dispatch of goods.

Your responsibilities

  • Foster a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed
  • Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department
  • Be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Will also be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity and overall performance
  • Operate in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Standards
  • Must have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline direct reports
  • Must be certified or willing to be certified on different fork truck machinery used in warehouse and complete hazmat ground shipper certification within 1 year of starting position.
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum of 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years experience.
  • Lean Yellow Belt Certification or will need to obtained
  • Preferred Experience Includes: Lean, OSHA, SAP, BUS, SFD, Kronos, ISO.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to create and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Attention to detail, time efficiency and utilization of manpower
  • Understand manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex Flow and Lean concepts
  • Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes
  • Candidates must already have a work Authorization that would permit to work for ABB in the US
